There are festivals galore this weekend! We’ll start with the Ottawa Dog Festival at the RA Centre. The Ottawa Dog Festival is an Outdoor Event for the public and their four-legged friends! With games, competitions, food trucks, and a beer lounge, there is something for people and pooches alike! Watch the pro pups from the Rideau River Dock Diving, try out the Lure Course open to the public, and experience the newest outdoor dog party in town!

Beer lovers can enjoy a variety of events this weekend. Try The Brewery Market’s MOZAIK event on Saturday, June 10 in Vanier. In partnership with House of PainT, MOZAIK is a mural art project to paint the tallest mural in Ottawa. The event will be hip hop, dance + art in the heart of Vanier. Free admission, 2pm – 9pm, rain or shine.
Next, is the Brewery Market’s Homecoming event at Hintonburg Park, Sunday, June 11. Celebrate the Capital Region's craft brewers at the first, full-on Brewery Market of the season! Expect your standard local favourites, along with some tasty special-edition beers. It’s a free event, 12pm – 8pm rain or shine. Proceeds to benefit the Parkdale Food Centre.

If that’s not enough beer, there’s also the Festibière de Gatineau on Thursday to Sunday at the Canadian Museum of History. the Gatineau Beerfest is the perfect opportunity to discover the latest brewing trends and developments in Quebec and across Canada. With more than two dozen exhibitors, more than 350 craft beers, and a dozen food trucks and vendors offering local products and flavours, the Gatineau Beerfest stands out for its family-friendly atmosphere. Finally, try out the Orléans Craft Beer Festival at Centrum Plaza. The Orléans Craft Beer Festival will bring together craft breweries, local food artisans and some fantastic music to the east end of the city! This outdoor festival goes off rain or shine! They have a HUGE BEER tent! All of the best local taps and apps under the big tent! Good old fashioned east end street party! That’s right…they’ve closed the street!
Do you prefer sweets over suds? Try Dessertfest, on Friday to Sunday at the Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne. Come and sample some of the most unique desserts you’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting!

Experience the best the local art community has to offer with Ottawa Fringe Festival. This event is in its 20th year! It’s an open-access festival where 100% of ticket sales go to the artists. Every show is independently produced. Since 1997, the Ottawa Fringe Festival has returned more than $1.62 million to independent artists.
As Ottawa continues to Welcome the World for Canada 150, you can experience a variety of cultures at the Horticulture Building at Lansdowne this weekend. Friday, June 9, check out Croatia! This whole day event will be the opportunity to showcase Croatian culture, tradition, music, food and tourism. Special music guest will be Ivo Gamulin Gianni, Croatian theatrical performer and singer, while always passionate Folklore Ensemble “Croatoan” will share its songs, dances and costumes with the audience. Croatia will also present its cuisine, tourist destinations and products available in Canada.
