Ottawa Fire responded to a kitchen fire in the city's west end early this afternoon.
The fire has since been declared under control.
No people were hurt, but the family's dog was killed in the fire.
Investigators are still on scene and say so far 7 people have been displaced, and there could be more.
An OC Transpo bus arrived on the scene to provide shelter for those residents who were evacuated
