Ontario’s Special Investigation Unit has identified the woman killed in a crash in Arnprior.
Sheila Welsh, 65, was pronounced dead at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on Daniel Street on Monday afternoon.
According to the OPP, they were investigating after a vehicle was stolen in Eganville Monday morning.
The SIU said the 20 year old driver made his way to Arnprior, taking highway 60 and highway 17 and that at some point officers started following him.
Around 4 p.m. the driver crashed into two other cars on Daniel Street.
The suspect was taken to hospital in serious condition.

Welsh was a grandmother who was just metres from her home when the crash happened.
She was reportedly on her way out to pick up her grandchildren, as she did every day.
The SIU is looking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash on Monday to contact them at 1-800-787-8529.
OPP have since announced charges against the suspect.
Zachary Wittke is facing charges of: dangerous driving causing death, fleeing while being pursued by police, driving while disqualified, and theft of a motor vehicle over $5000.
Wittke will attend a bail hearing Friday.
