Ottawa police now say the driver of a white Hyundai Elantra, involved in a fatal collision last night on Woodroffe Avenue, fled the scene, and is now being sought.
Police say the Elantra smashed into a Honda Civicthat was making a left turn across Woodroffe south of Meadowlands around 11:30 pm.
The driver of the Civic, a 30 year old man, died in hospital of his injuries.
Police say their suspect is a Caucasian male, 20 to 25 years of age, and was wearing a dark hoodie.
Anyone with information about the driver's identity, or anyone who witnessed the crash, is being asked to contact police.
