The University of Ottawa has given notice of the termination of its agreement with the school's student federation.
U of O says it has lost confidence in SFUO's ability to properly represent their 31,000 undergrads.
After learning of allegations of financial mismanagement, a forensic audit was conducted.
Student Cat Fitzgerald says she is more than pleased with the decision.
"Every person I've spoken to on campus is ecstatic," she said on Ottawa Now with Evan Solomon. "We're all, like, so happy. We've all felt that there have been wrongs done by this federation ... and after hearing about this, we were all so fed up."
The university also says there are allegations of improper governance, internal conflict and workplace misconduct.
The school is encouraging its students to form a new government.
