Two men were hospitalized Sunday after they both struck by vehicles in the Byward Market in separate incidents Sunday.
A 49-year-old man was struck and pinned under a vehicle on Cumberland between York and George just before 6 p.m., according to Ottawa Paramedics.
Police had to assist paramedics in extricating him from under the car before he was taken to the trauma centre in serious but stable condition.
Earlier a 36-year-old man was hit at York and Dalhousie just before noon.
He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Byward market was bustling as warm temperatures and the final days of Winterlude brought thousands to the downtown core.
