Ontario's new Progressive Conservative government will have a cabinet of 21, including Premier Doug Ford.
Local MPPs who will be taking on cabinet positions include Nepean's Lisa MacLeod, who will be the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services and Minister Responsible for Women's Issues. Kanata-Carleton MPP Merrilee Fullerton has been named the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities. John Yakabuski, of Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, will be Minister of Transportation. Steve Clark, Leeds—Grenville—Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, will be the new minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
Ford's leadership rival Christine Elliott has been named Deputy Premier and will also serve as the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care. Caroline Mulroney, who also ran for PC leader, will be Ontario's new Attorney General and the Minister for Francophone Affairs.
Ford himself will also oversee the portfolio of Intergovernmental Affairs.
