The Québec provincial prosecutor says they will not lay charges against a Radio-Canada who was arrested for criminal harassment.
Antoine Trepanier was trying to arrange an interview with the head of Big Brothers Big Sisters and had spoken to Yvonne Dubé on the phone once when she agreed to an interview. He called her twice more and sent her one email when Dubé filed a criminal harassment complaint against him.
The CBC called the arrest "unfounded" and said Trepanier was “only doing his job and had fully respected journalistic standards and practices.”
The Québec prosecutor said in a statement an investigation has found no criminal act had been committed and no criminal charges will be laid.
