Ottawa Police seized two hand guns during separate arrests this morning.
The first was seized during a traffic stop at the corner of Lester and Albion roads at around 12:50am. Police were in the area following the recent south end shootings.
During the stop, police found marijuana, and while arresting the driver and passenger, also found a loaded .32 calibre revolver.
Then around 3:00am. another hand gun was found on a person in the Byward Market. Calls came into police about a man brandishing it around in a parking lot on George Street.
Police arrived and arrested the man. They found a loaded semi-automatic hand gun in his pants.
Both incidents are being investigated by police.
