Ottawa Police say they need help identifying two men suspected of robbing someone on Rideau Street last month.
According to police, a young man was attacked from behind on Rideau near Dalhousie at around 5:06 p.m. Tuesday, August 21. One of the suspects put him in a bear hug and slammed him to the ground. The victim's cellphone was stolen and the suspects tried to steal his backpack.
A third suspect was arrested shortly afterward. The third suspect is a minor and has not been identified. Police have also not said if this suspect is facing charges.
The first suspect police want to identify is described as black, in his 20s, wearing a black hoodie, a red backpack, black Adidas pants and black shoes.
The second is described as black, with medium-length curly hair, wearing a black windbreaker, a black t-shirt, green pants, and white runners.
