Ottawa Fire crews were kept busy overnight into Saturday, battling two different fires.
The first blaze was a two-alarm fire that broke out at a highrise apartment at 200 Rideau Street.
Firefighters say the blaze was confined to one apartment on the 8th floor.
The fire was brought under control shortly, and no one was injured.
Firefighters say overhaul and ventilation operations are now underway.
There's no word yet on the cost of the damages or the cause of the incident.
Ottawa Police have since reopened Rideau Street.
Then, a few hours later, around 3:00 am., Ottawa Fire was called to a second fire, this one in the top floor of a three-storey double at 181 Henderson Avenue, in Sandy Hill.
All occupants have been safely evacuated, and no injures have been reported. However, 12 people will be displaced.
There's no word yet on the cause of the blaze or the cost of the damages.
The fire is under investigation.
