After torrential, record-breaking downpours over the past few days, Ottawa Fire has lifted the open air burn ban.
However, it's not a license to go lighting fires willy-nilly. You still need a permit.
Ottawa Fire also says burn bans may remain in effect in other jurisdictions. Check with the local fire department before setting flame to combustible materials.
