After last weekend's record-breaking rainfall, more is on the way.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Sunday warning of up to 40mm of rain through the day.
Meteorologist Mitch Meredith tells CFRA the rain could cause more flooding across our region.
"The ground is saturated. The rivers are pretty high," he said. "Sometimes. . . just 30mm or so can be a problem."
Last weekend's storms left 175 basements across the City of Ottawa flooded. In West Quebec, the mayor of La Peche had to declare a state of emergency when arterial roads were washed out.
Meredith says residents should pay close attention to Environment Canada alerts for any updates.
