Ottawa Police say a 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with three morning robberies.
The first took place on Bronson Avenue, near Gladstone, around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday. Police say a man entered a fast food restaurant and demanded cash. He was able to access the register on his own, and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
At 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, police say the same suspect was buzzed into a convenience store on Bell Street North, a short distance away. The suspect again demanded cash but was unable to access the register. Police say he threw a coffee at the clerk and fled with some lottery tickets.
Finally, around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, the suspect returned to the fast food restaurant on Bronson, this time brandishing a syringe. Police say he once again took some cash from the register, but was arrested a short distance away when an employee who was chasing him flagged down a nearby police officer.
Christopher Nickolson, of no fixed address, is charged with three counts of robbery and two counts of possession of a weapon.
