Ottawa Police have charged a man with several criminal offences after they found a loaded handgun in his car on a traffic stop.
At 11:40 p.m. Friday night, Darren Flint rolled through a stop sign near Dumauier Avenue.
Patrol officers stopped the vehice and as they were interacting with the 19-year-old driver, found marijuana and a loaded handgun in the car.
Flint is now facing 10 charges, including possessin of a firearm without license, carless storage of ammunition and prossession of proceeds of crime under $5000. Flint is in custody and appeared in court today.
Police continue to investigate.
