Police recovered a handgun as they conducted raids on two pot shops and a home on Centrepointe Drive on Tuesday.
Officers executed search warrants at the shops on Carling Avenue and Iber Road seizing pot, hash, hash oil, edibles, THC concentrate as well as some cash, computers and cell phones.
Police also discovered a loaded .44 calibre Desert Eagle handgun during their search of a home on Centrepointe Drive.
Seven people, including four store employees, have been arrested and charged with a long list of offences including possessing a dangerous weapon, possession of a loaded firearm and a firearm obtained by crime as well as several drug related offences.
Police said that these storefront shops that sell marijuana are still illegal and that they will continue to enforce the law.
