Grade 6 math scores in Ottawa are close to being in line with the rest of the province as they struggle with a downward trend.
Board-by-board EQAO standardized testing results have been released, showing scores have dropped close to 10 percent in the English public and catholic boards over the last five years.
The Ottawa Carleton District School Board lost 8 points while the Ottawa Catholic School Board fell by 10.
It was reported late last month that only 50 percent of Ontario students had met the standard.
Ottawa's two largest boards are slightly above that average.
The OCDSB is at 54 percent while the OCSB is at 58 percent.
