Firefighters use jaws of life to free two 19yearolds in 417 crash

Paramedics say they were called around 1118 p.m. to the eastbound 417 at Lees Ave. for a highspeed, twovehicle collision.

Ottawa Paramedics say they treated three people in a serious crash Friday night on Highway 417. 

They say they were called around 11:18 p.m. to the eastbound 417 at Lees Ave. for a high-speed, two-vehicle collision.

Two 19-year-old men needed to be extracted by the jaws of life by firefighters. They were treated by paramedics and both taken to the trauma centre in stable condition.

In the second vehicle, a 47-year-old man was assessed by paramedics and released. A 24-year-old woman did not require treatment.

No word yet on the cause of the crash.
