There's a major addition to Canada Day activities on Parliament Hill.
Bono and The Edge, from U2, will be taking part in the noontime concert on the Hill on July 1st.
The pair will be performing one song during the noontime event.
Canadian Heritage spokesperson Natalie Hunault told "Ottawa Now" that the two are just part of a great lineup of musical talent from home and abroad.
Hunault added there may be more announcements in the coming week.
"You know, it's a birthday, and surprises are part of a birthday," she said.
"I think you can anticipate a couple more to come."
The pair's stop in Ottawa is sandwiched in between concert tour stops in East Rutherford, New Jersey and Cleveland, Ohio.
