The Royal Mental Health Institute says it has received its largest-ever donation - $6-million from an anonymous benefactor.
The money will be used to establish a so-called "incubator" - a place where young innovators can explore new approaches to mental illnesses and their treatments.
Five of the best and brightest young researchers will be selected to participate in projects looking into depression, the brain-heart connection, stress and trauma, brain stimulation, and brain imaging.
The institute says it'll offer them the chance to do work that may be promising, but might have difficulty securing funding from othe sources.
