Mark Sutcliffe is an Ottawa entrepreneur, writer and broadcaster. Along with hosting The Chat Room on CFRA, he writes several columns a week in the Ottawa Citizen on subjects ranging from business to politics to running. And he is the President of Great River Media Inc., which publishes the Kitchissippi Times community newspaper and iRun magazine, a new national running magazine.
For two years, Mark worked in senior management at the Ottawa Citizen as Executive Editor. He was also previously the President of InBusiness Media Network Inc., a business-to-business media company with properties in publishing, Internet and events, and the Publisher of the Ottawa Business Journal.
Born and raised in Ottawa, Mark has been active in community organizations throughout his career. He is currently the chair of the board of directors of United Way Ottawa, past chair of the board of the Great Canadian Theatre Company, which just completed construction on an $11-million new facility, and a member of the board of directors of the Royal Ottawa Hospital Foundation. A lifelong baseball fan, Mark was the part-time play-by-play voice of the Ottawa Lynx Triple-A baseball club on radio and television for more than 10 years.
