Shelley McLean
Shelley McLean was raised in Manotick. She's a graduate of the Radio Broadcasting program at Loyalist College in Belleville. Shelley began her radio career at CJTN in Trenton, before moving back to Ottawa to work at Energy 1200 and Majic 100.
In 1995, she began anchoring overnight news at CFRA. From there she moved on to reporting and covered a wide range of issues from municipal politics, to the Ice Storm of 1998. Shelley began hosting On Target Ottawa and co-hosting Madely in the Morning in the summer of 2001.
Shelley enjoys helping out in the community. She’s been a volunteer with the Cancer Research Society, which included acting as Chair of “A Sweet Chair-ity Affair & Auction” - a major fundraising event for Ottawa in April 2006. Shelley also volunteers for the Irish Society each year during Irish Week festivities. And she lends her time to the Cancer Foundation Telethon each January.
Shelley and her husband, D’Arcy, are the proud parents of Grace, born on Valentine’s Day, 2007. Grace is their pride and joy! Shelley also has three stepsons.
