A Warm Fall in the Forecast

This late summer heat wave is a preview to a warmer fall in the Capital.
Environment Canada's seasonal forecast for the next three months calls for above average temperatures in Ottawa and most of Ontario.
The temperature outlook for September, October and November says there is a 70 per cent chance of temperatures being above normal, but there will also be above normal precipitation for the region.
Ottawa residents have enjoyed unseasonably warm temperatures this week, with four days of temperatures above 30 C.
Environment Canada says August was warm, with temperatures about one degree above average temperatures for the month.
It was also the wettest August in 29 years, with 173.4 mm of rain.
