Yankees Win the World Series

The New York Yankees are back on top of the baseball mountain.

Nearly a decade after their last World Series, the Yankees won their 27th World Series title with a 7-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 6 Wednesday night.

Hideki Matsui tied a World Series record with six RBIs in Game 6, and was named series MVP.

It’s the first World Series for the Yankees since they won three straight from 1998-2000.
