RCMP in British Columbia say there may be thousands of victims in a massive debit-card machine fraud scheme.
It’s reported that several TD debit machines at stores in Ladner, Delta, Langley, Surrey and possibly Vancouver were compromised.
Debit-card pads were replaced with devices that transmitted PIN numbers and transaction information to a criminal organization.
Police say the scam could have netted the thieves millions of dollars from people’s accounts.
