Rough Couple of Weeks: Ignatieff

Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff says he takes “responsibility” for a rough couple of weeks.
Speaking to party members in Winnipeg, Ignatieff said the Liberals have been “knocked around”, adding “I take responsibility for what we’re going through, and I think you know that I have made substantial changes so that we can move forward rapidly.”
The Liberals have sagged in opinion polls since September, and finished third in all four Federal byelections last week.
Ignatieff told Liberals that taking on the Conservatives is not easy, adding “let’s also be realistic here. We always knew this was going to be a tough go. We’re up against the most determined and ruthless … political machine we’ve seen in Canada for a long time.”
