Computer Thefts in Gatineau

Gatineau Police are on the hunt for at least one suspect in connection to the thefts of laptop computers from government buildings and Gatineau City Hall.
Eight robberies between October 16th and November 2nd took place at downtown government buildings on Laurier, promenade du Portage, Wellington, and Maisonneuve Boulevard.
The latest robbery occurred this past Saturday at Gatineau City Hall.
In each case a suspet would enter the building, force open office doors, and stuff laptop computers into a backpack.
Police describe a suspect caught on security cmeras as a white man between the ages of 25 and 35 with brown hair, standing about five-foot-ten, wearing a baseball cap, and carrying a backpack.
